Welcome back! Hope everyone had a Glorious, long weekend. We did, due largely in part to our National Treasure of the week Brooklyn Cruiser, which we've merrily been riding around Prospect Park. Founded by former Wall Street trader Ryan Patrick, Brooklyn Cruiser bikes were inspired by the simple, stylish street bikes Patrick had seen on his travels around other urban areas like Hanoi and Copenhagen. We love the vintage look of the design, which also incorporates modern-day technology like the Sturmey Archer 2-speed kick shift hub (an upgraded version of the back-peddling brake). And, of course, the jaunty little wooden crate that can be fitted in the back or front makes for easy transporting of picnic essentials. Bikes for men and women start at $499 and also come is vivid shades like tangerine and blue, or a classic cream.
